Couch-to-5k??

I posted on the facebook page that it would be fun to meet as a group to do some running/walking a couple times a week.    I’m taking inspiration from the Sisters at the children’s home in Rochester who have a wonderful running program set up for their children.  I am not a motivated person when it comes to exercise but maybe as a group we can keep each other going!  I have no experience with running but another mom recommended that we start with the Couch-to-5k plan. You can read more info on coolrunning.com.  Mom, Dad, kids, all are welcome to join in.  The Couch-to-5k plan recommends 3 days a week.  I was thinking M, W, F mornings but willing to change that once we determine who’s interested and what works for people.  If there is an experienced runner who would like to lead/instruct us, please let us know!  We could meet right at the schoolhouse.  Union is a small, safe,low traffic little village. To begin, we could even just stick to the Chapel St/Railroad Ave. “loop”.  Contact us if you’re interested or if you have any advice!!   Thanks, Megan.

    I think this is a great idea. I would love to run with others. I have been wanting to get back into running but have no motivation. If I had others to run with, I would be more motivated.
